This Privacy Policy explains how Spicy Dadda collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit spicydadda.com (the "Site"), place an order, sign up for our emails, or otherwise interact with us. We have tried to write it in plain language. If anything here is unclear, email us at info@spicydadda.com and we will explain it.

1. Who We Are

Spicy Dadda is operated by Spicy Dadda LLC, a company based in Texas, United States. For the purposes of this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Spicy Dadda LLC. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect the following:

  • Contact and order details. Your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, and billing address when you place an order or contact us.
  • Payment information. When you pay, your card details go directly to our payment processors. We do not see or store your full card number. We do receive confirmation of payment, the last four digits of the card, and the billing address.
  • Account information. If you create an account, your login details and saved preferences.
  • Order and transaction history. What you have viewed, added to your cart, bought, returned, or exchanged.
  • Reviews and photos. If you leave a product review, the name you post under, your review text, your rating, and any photos you upload.
  • Messages you send us. Anything you include when you email us, use the contact form, or message us on social media.
  • Device and usage information. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, how you arrived at the Site, and how you move through it. This is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.

3. How We Collect Information

We collect information directly from you when you give it to us, automatically from your device when you browse the Site, and from the service providers listed in Section 6 who help us run the store and our advertising.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • To fill your order. Processing payment, packing and shipping your sauce, sending order and delivery notifications, and handling returns, replacements, or exchanges.
  • To support you. Answering your questions and resolving problems with an order.
  • To run and improve the Site. Understanding which products and pages people actually use so we can make the store better.
  • For marketing and advertising. Sending you emails if you have signed up, and showing you ads for our products on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Google. See Section 7 for how to opt out.
  • For security and fraud prevention. Verifying orders, spotting fraudulent transactions, and keeping the Site secure.
  • To meet legal obligations. Keeping tax and sales records, and responding to lawful requests.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are strictly necessary, for example to keep items in your cart and to keep you logged in. Others help us measure how the Site is used, or support the advertising described in Section 7.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Site, including checkout, may stop working properly.

6. Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share it with the following companies so that they can perform services for us:

  • Shopify. Our ecommerce platform. Shopify hosts the Site, processes orders, and provides store analytics.
  • Payment processors, including Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, PayPal, and similar wallet providers, to take payment and screen for fraud.
  • Shipping carriers and fulfillment partners, so we can get your order to your door.
  • Judge.me, which powers our product reviews and sends review request emails.
  • Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), for advertising and measurement, including through the Meta pixel and the Conversions API.
  • Google, for site analytics and advertising measurement.
  • Email and messaging providers we use to send marketing and transactional messages.

We may also disclose information to comply with the law, to respond to a valid legal request, to enforce our Terms of Service, to protect the rights and safety of our customers or our business, or in connection with a sale, merger, or transfer of the business.

These companies use your information in line with their own privacy policies, and some of them, particularly the advertising platforms, use it for their own purposes as well.

7. Advertising and Your Opt-Out Choices

We use advertising and analytics tools that share information about your activity on the Site with advertising partners so we can show you relevant ads elsewhere. Under some United States state privacy laws, this kind of sharing counts as a "sale" of personal information or as "targeted advertising", even though no money changes hands.

You can opt out of this sharing at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page.

We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal. If you visit the Site with GPC enabled in your browser, we will treat it as an opt-out request for that browser and device.

To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send. You will still receive transactional messages about orders you have placed.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Correct personal information that is inaccurate.
  • Delete personal information we hold about you.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising and the sharing described in Section 7.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Residents of Texas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights under their state law. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will explain the outcome of that appeal.

Some rights have limits. For example, we may need to keep order and tax records even after a deletion request.

9. How to Exercise Your Rights

Email us at info@spicydadda.com with the request you want to make. We may need to verify your identity before we act, usually by confirming details of an order you placed. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, generally within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent, but we will ask for proof that you authorized them.

10. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep order records for as long as needed to run the business and to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements. We keep marketing contact details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the schedules of the providers listed in Section 6.

11. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and payments are processed over encrypted connections by established payment providers. That said, no website or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send us sensitive information such as full card numbers by email.

12. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13 years of age. Children under 13 are not permitted to create an account, place an order, sign up for our emails, or submit a product review.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly and close any account associated with it.

Separately, we do not knowingly sell personal information, or share it for targeted advertising, for anyone under 16 years of age, as those terms are defined in applicable United States state privacy laws.

If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information, email us at info@spicydadda.com and we will delete it. We will not ask you for more information than is reasonably necessary to confirm that you are the child's parent or guardian.

13. Visitors Outside the United States

We operate from the United States and our service providers are largely based there. If you visit or order from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

14. Links to Other Sites

The Site links to other places, including our social media accounts and embedded video. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Have a look at their policies before sharing information with them.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practices, the tools we use, or the law changes. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and we will give you additional notice if the law requires it.
